Website
We build the site, then we keep it working.

Healthcare websites built to convert and keep converting. WordPress by default, custom-built and HIPAA-hosted when the compliance bar calls for it. Post-launch we treat the site like a living publication — fresh content, security patches, performance monitoring, the works.

Why it matters

Most healthcare websites die a slow death after launch.

The problem

The typical healthcare website gets built once, by an agency that disappears at launch. Content goes stale within a year. Plugins go unpatched and become security vulnerabilities. Performance degrades as the WordPress install accumulates cruft. Conversion rates drop because nobody is testing or refreshing the calls-to-action.

Two years in, the site is older than it should be, slower than it should be, and converting at a fraction of what it could.

Our approach

We build sites that are designed to be maintained, then we maintain them. Two blog posts a month so the content stays current and the SEO compounds. Monthly site updates so the conversion paths keep improving. Security patches and backups handled, not deferred. Performance monitored continuously.

The site stays alive because someone is watching it — and the conversion rate stays high because someone is improving it.

What’s included

What’s included.

Build and ongoing maintenance, not just one or the other.

01

Build + launch

WordPress by default; custom-built on our own HIPAA-compliant infrastructure when the project demands it. Full design and development, no imposed templates.

02

2 blog posts per month

Researched, written, published. Pairs with the SEO service to compound rankings.

03

1–2 site updates per month

New pages, refreshed sections, A/B tests on key conversion paths.

04

Security patches + backups + uptime monitoring

Plugins kept current, backups verified, uptime monitored. Quiet work that prevents loud problems.

05

Form + integration health checks

Contact forms, intake forms, CRM integrations all tested monthly to catch silent failures.

06

Conversion optimization

Monthly review of what’s converting and what isn’t. Tests run continuously, not as a one-off project.

How we run it

How the site stays alive.

The work that makes a website compound instead of decay.

01

Monthly content production

Two blog posts, on a schedule, with topics that ladder into SEO targets.

02

Monthly conversion review

Which CTAs are converting, what’s failing, what to test next. Continuous improvement, not annual overhauls.

03

Quarterly site review

Performance, conversion rates, technical health. Findings turn into the next month’s update list.

04

Real-time monitoring

Alerts on uptime, security, broken forms, slow pages. You hear about issues before patients do.

05

Annual full-site refresh

Design, structure, and content all reviewed against the year ahead. Major updates planned, not patched in.

How it fits the engine

Where this sits in the engine.

The website is the destination for every other channel — every campaign, every email, every search result lands here. Automation routes the inquiries from here into your CRM. It’s where the marketing converts. Every Vital Press engagement includes all nine services — this is one of them.

Common questions

Things people ask before they engage.

Do you build on WordPress only?

No — we can build on anything. WordPress is our default because it balances control, cost, and healthcare-friendly tooling. For practices that need more — custom-built platforms, dedicated infrastructure, or full HIPAA-compliance hosting — we build and host that too. Custom builds cost more because the compliance work is in the architecture, not bolted on after.

How do you handle HIPAA compliance for the website?

Forms and any tools touching PHI route through HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. The website itself usually doesn’t store PHI — it routes inquiries to systems that do. We map the data flows during onboarding.

Can you migrate my existing site?

Yes. Full content migration with URL preservation (or proper redirects), design refresh, technical SEO carried over. We’ve done dozens of migrations without losing search visibility.

What hosting do you recommend?

For WordPress: WP Engine, Kinsta, or Pantheon. They handle the security and performance baseline so we can focus on the site itself. For custom builds we host on our own infrastructure, configured to HIPAA-compliance standards when the build calls for it. Hosting is billed monthly, separate from the engagement fee.

Do you handle the entire build or just design?

Whichever you need. We can do design, build, launch, and ongoing maintenance — or any subset. Most engagements include all of it because the seams between phases are where things go wrong.
